IKEA

A quiet reimagining of a global icon, traded scale for craft, and mass production for balance.

This wasn't a rebrand for IKEA the retailer. It was a reimagining of what IKEA could feel like if it slowed down, an identity rooted in the hand, not the assembly line. The mark itself borrows from Scandinavian form: the curve of a carved chair leg, the negative space where two people meet at a table. Every material choice... linen, raw wood grain, warm greens and browns. They lean into imperfection as a value, not a flaw. The system holds tension deliberately: precision and looseness, heritage and restraint, structure and softness. It's less about redesigning a logo, more about asking what a century-old idea of "home" looks like when function stops being the only virtue.
